It can seem like everyone is after your personal information! At Hane Home Inspections, we know how frustrating it can be to receive endless phone calls and emails trying to sell you new services. Many companies will sell your information to warranty companies, security companies, and other home services. We don't do that. Your information is only used by us, for you.
How is Your Information Used?
Your Email:
We will send you emails to confirm your inspection, sign agreements, pay invoices, remind you of the inspection time, and follow up with you to make sure you had a great experience. We also send your inspection report by email. We do not sell or pass on your email.
Your Phone Number:
You may receive calls or texts from us. Most commonly, this relates to scheduling. We do not sell or pass on your phone number.
Your Name:
The State of Ohio requires that we put your name on the inspection report. Whether you pass that report on to anyone else is up to you. We do not publicly publish your name anywhere. You, your inspector, and your real estate agent are typically the only people who will see the report, though you are welcome to pass it in part or whole to the other party in your transaction. We do not sell or pass on your name.
Your Address:
Unless you are living at the property to be inspected, we do not collect your address. The address of the property to be inspected will appear at the top of your inspection report. If you opt to have the home inspected for Wood Destroying Insects, we are required to use the form provided by the Ohio Department of Agriculture and provide the address to the State upon request. We do not sell or pass on your address otherwise.
Photos:
A key part of home inspections is photographing conditions on the property. The inspector will do his best to avoid getting you (or himself!) in the pictures. Occasionally, photos of defects or oddities may be shared on social media or other marketing materials. However, all identifying information will be excluded. While we encourage you to share your experience with Hane Home Inspections, we will not identify you first.
